About
I believe in challenging the absurdities of human behavior and hope to encourage our connection with nature. I love to present ideas from an unexpected angle and enjoy using satire to achieve this.
My name is Sharon Colman and I make animated films. Whether it's funny, silly or political, a story has to be worth sharing with the tribe. I am Scottish (no, really. I have the accent) and I'm best known for my 2005 Academy Award nominated film, Badgered.
I've worked for Warner Bros. Animation, DreamWorks Animation SKG, Paramount Pictures Animation, Animal Logic and Jim Henson Studios, and directed commercial work for Duck Studios, TED Education, Tandem Films, and created idents for MTV.
I have a BA (Hons) illustration from Glasgow School of Art and an MA in Animation Direction from the National Film and Television School, England.
I currently live in California with my husband, Michael Graham, who is a skydiving instructor.
